We believe that fun should be a fundamental part of all learning because when we are enjoying what we are doing learning becomes easier.
Learning can happen anywhere, at any time, and should be fun, but certainly not frivolous. We all have the responsibility to give our children the time, space, and freedom to choose what they want to explore and to learn from their mistakes.
For many generations, students, parents, Teachers, home educators, and education administrators have assumed that we all learn only when we are quiet and serious. When was it that the delivery of learning in our classrooms strayed from fun to dull, from play to work, and from active to quiet?
Another important fact was often overlooked – that when we are happy and our thoughts and actions are spontaneous, we learn more quickly.
These philosophies and actions encourage the reshaping of the roles of learners, parents, teachers, home educators, and administrators – with skill building, collaboration, and discoveries not bound by walls, distance, or time.
With imaginative, inspiring, and user-friendly content, nobody is forced to come up with the right answer – rather we all learn to ask a wide range of questions and devise multiple approaches to a problem. There may be many ‘right’ answers.
Some investigations may appear more than once throughout the collection, this is intentional and provides opportunities to revisit, revise, and reconsider past decisions.
Learning opportunities come in many forms, but are generally freely chosen, spontaneous, and self-directed – it is ‘kids being kids, ‘grown-ups reliving their childhood’, and families and friends enjoying each other.
The E-Team learnings group believes that students, parents, teachers, home educators, and educational administrators will often be amazed, amused, and impressed with its resource collections - and will invariably discover that they have been enjoying learning as well!
